About:

Teatr Trans-Atlantyk is an international independent theatre company based in Warsaw, Poland founded by American director Paul Bargetto. The company of artists includes founding members Marta Król and Grzegorz Sierzputowski, and Krzysiek Polkowski, Agnieszka Rozkowska, Wojciech Zołądkowicz, Malgorzata Sikorska-Miszczuk, Tomek Sobczak, Julia Trembecka, Boguslaw Kudlek, Helena Chorzelska, Antoni Gustowski, and Kasia Ustowska. We create original works of devised theatre in collaboration with other dramatists, artists, and experts from other disciplines and fields. We are interested in research-driven documentary theatre as well as working with playwrights and dramaturgs on original texts, adapting non-theatrical texts, and creating public performance interventions. We work and perform in both Polish and English. We believe in the live event, mystery, dreams, hard questions, and process. Our perspective is rooted in the Polish and American experience, but our values and spirit are international.
