Katarzyna Ustowska was born in Gdansk, Poland, where she studied at the State Ballet School before continuing her dance education at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance, Leeds, UK (BPA in Contemporary Dance) and the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst. Frankfurt am Main, Germany (MA in Contemporary Dance Education). Kasia works across the spectrum of contemporary dance, including performing and choreography, as well as dance education. Since 2013 she has been collaborating with the Dada von Bzdülöw Theatre. She has worked with choreographers and  theatre directors from a range of backgrounds including: Leszek Bzdyl, Robero Olivan, Rafał Dziemidok, Lea Anderson and Jakub Truszkowski. She co-founded the Polka dot Foundation, an organization focused on developing and promoting dance and choreography with artists and cultural institutions. In addition to regularly teaching professional dancers, actors and amateurs, Kasia is developing an educational dance program for children in a Montessori pedagogical setting. Kasia joined Teatr Trans-Atlantyk in 2018.
